On Sunday the 3rd of November I entered the Canal Walk branch looking for a cell phone jogging pouch. The sales person attempted to assist me, but the only pouch available was pink. My preference was for a orange one. He then proceeded to check on the computer system which branches had stock and advised me that N1 City had two in stock and I could proceed there. When I got to N1 City Branch I asked a sales assistant where they had the product she directed me to a shelf. On examining the product I found this was not the right product. When asking a assistant for help he informed me the pouches only arrived Friday and had not been checked yet, I told him that the Canal Walk Branch directed me to them he told me they had made a mistake and he could not help me. When I approached George the supervisor he also said that Canal Walk should have phoned first and it is not his problem I must take it up with them. On the whole his attitude was negative with no idea of customer service. The proper action would have been to say sorry, take my number and call me back when they had stock. Pretty poor for a major retailer. Your leaders should be trained how to deal with customers.
