I made a purchase on Sunday the 27th of Oct to the Value of R499.90. At first the transaction said Failed. And the sales assistant asked if she could try the card again, to which I said okay as I haven't received a sms notification. the 2nd transaction was successful. But on my way out to the car I received 2 notifications both deducting the same amount, went back to the store to ask for a reversal of one of the transactions. The manager then GUARANTEED me that the amount is in a "holding account" and will be reversed on their side at the end of the business day and will reflect on my bank account, and to verify he would phone me on Monday morning the 28th to confirm that the reversal was done. I have not received a phone call, and both transactions are on my bank statement. I find this highly unprofessional that I'm guaranteed I won't be double charged and feedback would be provided, but the sale was made, why bother with customer service afterwards. I would like my money back, and Menlyn will definitely not see me again!
