Coupons - They dont work

I was in Potchefstroom over the weekend as i live in JHB. I was at mooi rivier mall and did some shopping and got a few stuff that the coupons had discount on, we worked out about R50 savings would be done. When getting to the till after standing in que for an hour (it was so full) i went on the coupon app on my phone and got the code 58 75 774, this code kept on declining. The tiller as well advised that the codes dont work. What stunt is this now from Checkers? Why add the coupons and then it does not work? I got things i normally would not buy but because of the coupons i did... and i had to pay the full price at the end of the day... wow, what a way to sucker clients that will buy stuff now that they don't really need.
