We purchased tiffany & co sunglasses and were told cases for the sunglasses was out of stock and to return on a specified date. Upon our return, there was still no stock and the sales assistant requested our details and assured us he would call once stock had arrived but he never did. This happened repeatedly on 3 occasions and on the last occasion, the assistant denied ever promising a case and referred us to the policy placard in the store reading "no cases will be given for sunglasses purchased under R500". When we purchased the sunglasses this was never mentioned and there were no posters or signage in the store to this effect. A verbal exchange ensued and he threatened to physically assault us. He refused to give us the manager's or head office number or his name to allow us to lodge a complaint. We have video footage of the incident and the Sunglass Hut employee is visible in the video. We were promised a case for the sunglasses and as loyal customers, we deserve a case. This employee should be given proper training on customer service because bad service and that kind of behaviour totally is unacceptable.
