We were given go ahead from Outsurance to replace our fridge with a 350l fridge through P&G. My husband & I contacted them several times for prices on different sizes & makes. We decided on the 340l Defy. This meant that the fridge would be slightly smaller (10l) but we would not have to pay the R500 excess to P&G. My husband went to Builders to look at 340l Defy (which was for sale for the same amount as P&G quoted us) to ensure it's big enoug as we are a family of 4. We gave the go ahead to P&G for the 340l Defy. The fridge was delivered, packed & switched on. Following morning my husband noticed how small it is & checked info on inside of fridge only to realise it was a 297l and not a 340l. I contacted P&G that morning to inform them they had delivered the wrong fridge. I was simply told that P&G does not have the sizes of fridges but only the model numbers! And that it was our responsibility to check the size. Yet on notes i took when i spoke to Ruan I was clearly given the SIZE, price & etc of the Defy, the same with infogiven to my husband by Bradly. Outsurance has also failed to assist us further as the fridge is now used & cannot be returned for the model we want.
