Booming Business?

It must be so nice to be running a business that is SO profitable that your Sales Manager is in a position to turn customers and business away!
On Saturday, after searching for a particular size rug, I find one at your Design Quarter Store. There must have between 12-15 on the floor, all of them with a price tag and some of them with a "display purposes" tag. Some of them were piled on top of each other showing different sizes and colours, some of them were just lying around to look at and some were part of lounge/bedroom display set ups. I asked a Sales Consultant if I could buy one to which I was told there were "non in stock". I thought he was being funny. I asked why I couldn't buy one of the many on display. I mean surely they are on display for a purpose TO BE SOLD. Right? Wrong!!! I asked to speak to the Manager and a very rude, unhelpful Sales Manager (Suzan was her name I think) who absolutely refused to assist and let me buy one. She said they were for display purposes only and if none were in stock then tough luck! I asked her why so many were on display and there weren't any to buy she couldn't answer me. I said I would take it up with to which she replied "fine".
