Truworths
Refusal by Truworths to accept returned items

I went to Namibia on 19 September 2013 for a week, while I was there, I decided to go to Truworths to pay my account, after paying my account I decided to buy a formal trouser with my account in Namibia.
I then came back to South Africa, only to find that the trouser does not fit me well. I then went to the nearest Truworths to change the trouser so that I can get another size.
When I got to Truworths, they told me that their system doesn't recognise the barcode of the trouser and that they don't accept item bought outside the country.
So with the above statement, my concern is that why did my account that I opened in south Africa allowed me to purchase a trouser ouside the country.
My Truworths account is currently debited and I will have to pay for something that Truworths doesn't want to account for

I will appreciate if you can assist in this regard so that I can be allowed to return the trouser and get the right size
