Return of unwanted cell phone

On Thursday, the 3rd of October 2013, I went to Edgars at the mall to buy a new cellular phone. When I got there, no one tended to me and when I asked the person that sat behind the computer, he merely told me to "talk", without even looking up and barely paying attention to me. I then bought a Samsung Galaxy Chat, without really knowing the features as no one bothered to assist me. I later found out that this cell phone deducts airtime for internet even when I'm not on the internet unless I manually switch it off every time I am not using it. This in itself is a great irritation. All in all, the phone was just not what I expected. I was not happy with it at all and I returned it the next day (Friday 4 Oct). The same person that so rudely ignored me the previous day, bluntly refused. I also went to customer care and they too could not help me. Is there anything else I can do as I am really unhappy with this phone and the service I received. I cannot afford to buy another phone. Please assist.
