Pick 'n Pay
Cooperate or leave the store!

Shops, Products, Services

We've been doing our family shopping at the very same Pick n Pay at Rosettenville for the past 11 years and today I had the most unpleasant experience of being chased out of the store by the "owner" of the store. I arrived at the store just before 17h00 with two of my friends who both walked in with beverages, I stopped to ask the security if we could get stickers for the drinks so we could continue with shopping, I was shocked when the security gave us an abrupt answer saying that we should leave them at the parcel counter. We stood in between the parcel counter and the security in confusion because it made no sense to leave open beverages at the parcel counter. We then entered the store with the beverages especially since there are cameras. The security chased us and commanded us to leave the drinks, we tried to engage with the security but he just gave attitude and said he doesn't have the time to explain to us. We then called a man who appeared to be the manager, but after having asked him his capacity he told us that he is "just a customer in a Pick n Pay shirt." And he instructed us to leave after hearing what the security was saying as he had no intention to assisst us.
