I left Checkers Hyper in Gateway in tears today. Driven to the edge by a store and manager with no heart, compassion or care for the customer. My husband and I were shopping with our 1 year old and 2 year old and it was an absolute nightmare. Navigating a store that is busy re stocking shelves but can only accommodate 2 trolleys in an aisle only added to a difficult situation. So we decided to 'pull off' to the side, out of everyone's way to sort out our children. Only to be told by security that we can't stand there. We pleaded saying please, we need to sort out our crying children but she refused. Now even more distressed we looked for a manager, who only proceeded to defend the store and didn't offer what we really needed, some understanding and a spot to sort out our children! We were visibly traumatised and all he needed to do was say, please can I offer you my office, or would you like to stand over here. If he had just said "how can I help you" it would have changed everything. We were not treated with respect or dignity and left our shopping and will never return. Clearly Checkers only want our money, not our loyalty
