Earlier today, I tried to book seats on InterCape Coaches for 2 relatives. When I wanted to pay, my card was declined and the lady asked if would mind drawing cash at a nearby ABSA ATM. The ATM swallowed my card and I had to go into town to cancel it and get a new card.

Because I couldn't pay for the tickets straight-away, the lady said she had to remove it from their system. I left the MoneyMarket counter thinking that the tickets were now cancelled. a Short while later I booked new tickets at a MoneyMarket in Parow.

I then received a call from the Wellington Checkers asking if I'm still taking the tickets. I explained to the lady that I have already booked new tickets. Then I received another call from her, telling me that I owe them an amount of R155 because I have cancelled the transaction.

NO TRANSACTION HAPPENED. NO MONEY WERE REFUNDED, YET THEY CHARGE ME A 10% LEVY. FOR WHAT?

I did not like the absolute SNOTTY attitude of the ADMIN lady at Wellington Checkers. In my opinion, if you remove something from your system, it's the same as CANCELLING.

I expect an explanation. The stupid store manager failed to make an appearance, NO SURPRISE THERE.
