No writing in this store

I have to budget for some new clothes and I was in the store writing down average prices and looking at different styles of clothing, when all of a sudden the floor assistant approached me saying I'm not allowed to take notes or take any photos... I remember numerous occasions in the past where I would take a photo of a dress and send it to my friend for approval. The floor assitant pointed me in the direction of the floor manager, she looked sceptical but said it is fine if I make notes. I also asked them to show me where the notice board was that said you're not allowed to take photos or notes in the store. When a third person came up to me to tell me that they have regulations, I was getting very annoyed. The floor manager said it was fine, but the assistants could not let it go. I am seriously considering not shopping there anymore, and I have an account with truworths. I was upset, and it ruined my window shopping experience.
