After telling the cashier that I'll be paying with my gift card, she rang up everything I had in my basket.
After handing over the gift card, I am told that the gift cards is offline.

The poor cashier was not informed about it by Management / Supervisor.

This is rediculous and probably the worse customer service I have ever received.
And don't expect you will be walking out of the store with your purchases. That is absolutely too much to ask for.

What happened about picking up the phone and trying to at least assist customers?
All you get is pulled up shoulders and a "it is offline" answer / attitude.

This is my second bad experience with woolworths...
Keep it up guys.

What about my time waisted? Is woolworths going to refund me for that?

There was a reason why I told them that I will be using my gift card to pay for my purchases.

I've had it with poor customer service in this country. What is even more upsetting is that very little gets done about it!!!
