Disappointed in Foschini group AGAIN!!

I received a few gift cards from this group for my wedding Sept. 2010. As I wanted to use the last card on Saturday 24/8/13 we found the card expired and the original purchase date was 14/8/10 - so I missed the expiry date by ONLY 10 days as my friend purchased it quite in advance for our wedding of 17 Sept.!! I failed to use the card before as I had quite a few cards and used it during the past 3 years and being pregnant the past 8 months with my baby born 27/7/13 (6 weeks early) I just didn't have the energy to use the card earlier. Needless to say we phoned the gift card department (a few times) with no success to accommodate me in any way to be able to use the R800 on the card. This is a lot of money so I even phoned head office (a few times) to accommodate me in any way, but no one seemed to be willing to go the extra mile and award the R800 to me - as it was intended to be mine from a friend. It's shocking how such a big company cannot reverse a gift card to a customer when the expiry date was reached (by only 10 days!!) and just put the money in their own pockets. WOW SHOCKING!! The least they could do was award the money to me as it was intended!!
