Online purchase GIFT CARD?

So, I live in the bush and decided to purchase a gift card online for my friend (PLEASE NOTE NO DELIVERY DATE ETC STATED)! And asked for it to be collected from a store! (And you can purchase a gift card for ANY store ANYWHERE), . So, common sense says stores have gift cards so it cant take too long. Upon querying delivery I was told 7 to 10 WORKING DAYS from DATE OF ORDER? Ridiculous!!! Trying to explain to the call centre lady - difficult!

Never ever again! SO not impressed with Edgars. And my surprise for my friend RUINED!!!
