SMS THREATS RE CLOSED AND PAID UP ACCOUNT

On 13 July 2013, I received an SMS stating that I have been handed over to ShapiroShaikdeVries@assoc. because according to Edgars I am owing R 1420, 51 to Edgars. I replied that my account with them had been closed by me over a year ago after it was paid in full. On 22 August 2013 I received a further SMS which states that it is a final demand and that I now have to pay R 1435, 89.(Account No. 7000100100018715185 is quoted.)

During the past year no statements or any correspondence was send to me regarding this absurd demand. I do remember that at one stage while my account was still open that I was issued with a new card after it was found that mine was swopped with someone else's by the staff at River Squire branch in Vereeniging. I do not owe Edgars anything. I had an account with them for many years and my payment record speaks for itself.

I demand that my name be cleared and that Edgers stop harassing me
