Product expired

I bought a 100% Gold Standard casein weigh protein by optimum nutrition yesterday (Sunday 25 August 2013).
Tonight I served myself a serving and was wondering when the expiry date is and when I looked, I saw this date had already passed (July 2013) Now I am upset and cross as this cost R700 which is not cheap for a protein. It is of a high standard, voted the best in the world, but now I have a product which has expired?
I did not expect this from you, Dis-Chem.
