Mouldy, expired yougurt on the shelf after exipiry!

My husband bought 3 bucket of Honeydew yogurt from the Belfast Spar on Saturday, 29 July.

After taking a bite from a bucket I opened this morning (2 July) I found a big clot of mould. Upon checking the expiry date on the container the product already reached it's expiry date on the 24th of June. One of the other containers have already been consumed and the one left also expired before it was bought.

Because yogurt usually don't last longer than 3 days in our household I never check the expiry date. But it shouldn't be necessary if stores remove expired products like they are supposed to.

Unfortunately I'm allergic to mould and penicillin and if I didn't have my emergency allergy tablets with me I could have gone into anaphylaxis shock. All because Spar does not removed expired products from its shelves.

Aren't shop forbidden by law from selling expired products? If not, it's just plain unethical and unhealthy!
