Very disappointed!!

I bought my family a pack of Spar Crumbed Calamari strips as a treat yesterday (22 Aug), and as I was cooking it, I could smell something was wrong. It tasted awful and no-one ate it, as we were scared we would get food poisoning. I checked the best before date in the store, like I always do, and expiry was only in 2014, so I thought it was OK. I am very disappointed, as I meant it as something special for the family.
