PRICES THAT ARE OUT OF SIGHT!

I recently returned home from overseas and even in the 4 weeks away I was shocked at the increase in the overall prices at PICK N PAY. I have been shopping here for 40yrs. Yes we are all aware (and always reminded) how the petrol prices affect everything. But it is amazing that when the petrol drops, even for a while, the food prices just keep escalating. It's a ratchet-effect. Down a little, but overall UP, UP and UP. It is about time the community took action and began to do some serious price-comparing between the retail stores. I certainly intend taking my list and doing so. Housewive's League did a really good job, many years back, and its time we began to boycott products that we feel are just "out of the water". Sorry, but a R7 price hike on a product that cost around R28 about 6 weeks ago, is just not on (Hi-Fibre cereal)! This is a 25% increase in only one product. If I buy 150 items of groceries a month and have an average increase of only R3 per product this is adding an extra R450 to my budget. We are all being financially strangled... slowly but very surely. PICK N PAY you can eat your own Hi-Fibre cereal. I don't want it
