Optometrists rip off!!!

Dischem has been advertising R90 special on full comprehensive! So i booked an appointment and took my daughter with. We did the eye exam, optometrist said i need glasses, so i said fine, she said she'll get authorization from my medical aid and i said fine. She said i could pick glasses to the value of R600, so i did this, then we were thrown with a bill of R2092!! Absolutely crazy, i paid in R834 and i was told medical aid would pay the rest. I FELT ABSOLUTELY EXTORTED!! anyway a few months later the optometrist emailed me yet another bill of R82.50!! If i knew this i would have chosen cheaper glasses??
By the way i didn't get the deal of R90 because i didn't pay cash! I think this is disgusting and absolute extortion!
At no time did the optometrist warn me of the costs involved! and she didn't tell me to go draw cash and get the cash deal!! so the R90 TEST cost R520!! NICE ONE DISCHEM
