I have had an experience in May where somebody bought on my account to the value of R5500. Head Office contacted me to confirm these purchases and I've told them I wasn't close to Edgars / Boardmans shops. I was informed to go to the nearest Edgars and fill in a dispute form, which I did the next day. It took Edgars exactly 3 weeks to reverse the amounts from my account however they've never adjusted the monthly installment - the one I had on my statements still reflect these purchases. I was phoned today, asking me about the under payment of my installment. Once again I've told them to please correct the payment. Then I was informed about a purchase of over R1000 on the 5th or 6th of July - I once again wasn't close to any Edgars shop. Friday was a work day and I work in Sandton - and Saturday I spent at Loftus watching the Bulls vs game. This is now the 2nd time somebody is using my account for their purchases. On the first correction I've asked them to please put status on my account that ID needs to be checked when using my account. (I've made 2 purchases myself - never checked). Somebody within Edgars is committing and it's time they sort this out!
