Rudy Project Watch - Broken dial seconds hand

I purchased the following watch on17/02/2011 from ASG Sports. Rudy Project Kuadra V8. About a month ago I noticed that the hand indicating the seconds had come undone and is lying loose on the inside of the watch. I contacted ASG to inform them of the problem that I had. I stated to them that I do understand the watch was purchased some time ago but that I needed them to have a look as this was definately manufacturing and parts fault as I have never dropped this watch. The only reply I got from a lady in the sales department was sorry, watches are made in Italy and that I have to take it to a jeweler and repair at my own cost. Being in the sports industry myself I know this is not how we treat our customers. The least we will do is inspect the damage product first and then make a decision. If we find the product to have a manufacturing fault we will replace or offer a solution for the customer even if it was purchased a while ago and out of guarantee. Not just tell them to sort out yourself. Not happy with this level of service as I have always used Rudy Projects helmets and sunglasses and have always rated them. Hope to receive a reply and a solution on this issue.
