I went shopping for a mattress at the Bed Shop on Saturday at the Checkers Centre Welkom. The initial service was good. Maria Odendaal said that if I made the payment via EFT and faxed the proof of payment that my mattress would be delivered the same day. I effected payment at 8am and faxed proof at 08:13. I evened phoned to confirm if it was received and in order. I arranged for my old bed to be removed to make space for my mattress. I phoned Maria at 4pm and advised that I have not received my mattress. She advised that I wouldn't because my payment was not yet reflecting and suddenly an issue of Absa to Absa payment came up which was not previously mentioned as being a problem. When I asked Maria where she thought I must sleep tonight she replied with, "ah shame (giggle)". My mattress arrived after phoning many other branches, but without my warranty book or invoice. I phoned this morning to ask them to deliver my book and invoice. Maria phoned back and said, "you can climb into your little car and fetch your book and invoice because you reported me to head office". After words were exchanged she threw the phone down in my ear. IS THIS THE SERVICE THE BED SHOP OFFERS?
