Edgars
Declined because of Surname!

A year ago a very good friend of mine by the name Champa Govind tried to claim in a funeral policy she has with Edgars under Edcon. And she was disappointed when her claim was declined because her husband surname differs to hers. She tried to produce Marriage Certificate to prove that she was a wife since she didn't change her surname due to family values/culture. But Edgars didn't burge, and ignored what was written in the marriage certificate as prove that she was married to mr Srinivasa Dhoorgalu.

I mean she is the one that took on the policy and make sure that it was paid every month since she was not working knowing that one day in the event of death it with help them.but NO edgars funeral policy decided otherwise. I mean if such Big companies does this to its customers then where should we run to? I was shocked when tell me the story the other as i was planning to take on his Policy for me and my family. SO i doubt is safe for me to do so.
And people must be away out there for such bogas Policies, as its important to do a proper research before taking any policies whatsoever. I
