I frequented Glasfit in Umhlanga to have my vehicle checked for insurance purposes.
By my own admission and a series of unfortunate incidents, I found myself there without the required policy number. Thereafter, I proceeded for a lengthy number of minutes to try to convince the person on hand to check my vehicle at that time, after which I would call and provide the necessary policy number. This was to no avail as he was completely unwilling to assist me in my predicament.
I had mentioned how I had made a special arrangement from my office in South Durban to be there at that time and would be unable to conduct the check at another time also. His certificate for training in customer service was displayed on the reception wall by the way. He would fail that in implementation stage I think.
After my continued protests, another individual offered to assist me, requested my ID no. and promptly provided me with my policy no. from the system.
The inspector proceeded with the check, still unfriendly and brash.
I think your inspector should attend that training again!
