Forced to pay extra on returned item

On the 5th of July I purchased a car vacuum cleaner from Game in Pinetown, which was on promotion for R199.00. This unit was faulty and I returned it on 10th July, by which time the promotion was over & the new price was R239.00. The staff at Game refused to give me a replacement at the price I had originally paid and I was forced to pay the extra R39.00 for the replacement. I explained that it was not my fault that the original unit was faulty & I should get a replacement at the original price; the staff would not listen to me or even try to sort the problem out. Totally bad service and attitude.
