Misleading Promotional Ads

Edgars recently had a 50% sale off regular priced knitwear, boots, etc. that ran from 4-7 July. My husband was interested in buying a pair of CAT boots that they stocked and would (he assumed) be on special. However, on our arrival at the Menlyn store we noted that all the CAT boots had been taken off the shelves as, according to the floor staff, they were not on special. However, the ads clearly indicated that the only boots not on special were Steve Madden and Aldo. My husband also tried the Centurion store where he was given the same excuse. He was adamant that they are boots and should be included in the sale as he had purchased a pair at a previous sale that Edgars had a year or so back. Edgars, you guys need to be more specific when printing your ads. Misleading customers is not on. Get it right.
