Nikon camera bought for overseas trip -failed to w

I bought a nikon cameraon 22 june 2013 for my daughter, who travelled overseas, camera packed up, not working at all, what now??? She is now unable to take photos. I went to the store because the do not answer their phones, you hold on for ever and must pay for listening to music on the telephone. They expect her to take the camera to a branch in germany, she is travelling with a tour, how would that be possible. In the past I bought a docingstation and ipod, they could not tell me to fit the ipod on the docing station, I had to pay another R329.00 for a fitting afterwards in order to make the product funtion. What a frustration!!!
