Nikon
Daughter sold a damaged Nikon Coolpix

Electronics and household app.

My teenage Son and Daughter just purchased 2 x Nikon Cooplix cameras from the Woodmead Kodak Store. After charging the battery, my daughter tried to use the zoom function and the lens went skew - a line can be seen where it seems that the lens has come off its mechanism. We received the most appalling response from Kodak claiming that we had dropped the camera. The area manager refused to talk to us and they refuse to refund our money.

The package it came it does not have a secutity seal so I cannot prove anything. They guarantee that they sold us new products. but I am convinced that the camera was damaged and put back into the box and then sold on to us.

I cannot believe for one minute that Nikon makes such dead on arrival inferior products. Even if there is factory fault, I am sure that Nikon would deal with the matter differently and give the customer the benefit of doubt?

I want to return both cameras and get my kids money back even though the one camera is working. Kodak is ripping off consumers who want to invest in Nikon technology.

I would like to understand Nikon's view on this.
