Overspend???

Yesterday I went into a CNA store and paid an instalment of R2100 and today I went in to buy an item for the value of R2200 after spending time doing reference checks on the phone they said that I could now purchase my item, when trying to process the payment on my account it said that I will be R800 into overspend and need to pay a deposit of R800.How does this make sense? How can I pay R2100 instalment then want to buy an item for the same price and then get asked for R800 on top of that? This is the type of thing that makes me want to close up the account and go elsewhere
