Pringle of Scotland do not accept SA currency!

As a banker, I am HIGHLY DISGUSTED with the service which I have received from the Pringle of Scotland store in Sandton City!!!

Tourists/business people be aware: Pringle of Scotland do not accept South African currency at their stores!!!

I called them early this morning to ask them to put a jacket aside for me and advise them that I will visit them after work, which I did.

My debit card transaction was declined because the daily or monthly limit is too low.

Funny enough, I have bought ANOTHER jacket (for the same price) on Saturday at a different store in Rosebank!

After advising the salesman that I'll go and withdraw R3 000 CASH, I told him that if I don't come back, I'll come tomorrow evening.

I managed to withdraw funds easily from my savings account, but when I got back to the store, they did not want to accept my cash (which is supposed to be legal tender!!).

I am SO SORRY if I can't choose the bank notes dispensed in our Banana Republic!

It's the last time I have set foot in a Pringle of Scotland store!

Take your kilts and haggis and back to Scotland!
