I opened an account with the Hub and went through a bad patch where I was not working, I do understand that I am responsible for the account, When I was handed over the amount outstanding was R3300 which I agree with, but the charges on top of that was double, Which when I queried the figure I was told it is interest R2211. I have paid R3400 since November 2011. 2 months ago I came into extra money and wanted to settle my account, when I made contact with Charmaine Musumvhi of Nedbank I received no help whatsoever, even down to trying to get a statement, I was told my account was handed over and my account suppressed, and therefore not entitled to receive a statement, my last statement I received on 8/9/2011. I have just been on the Trans-union and I see there is a default on my name for 2 years. I feel that the minute you fall behind on an account then the financial institutions make it extra difficult for the defaulter to get back on track, when you actually need assistance. When you offer to settle as I tried with Nedbank and you get no help it is a very sad day. In the future I will not deal with Nedbank or the Hub as I feel they are not driven to assist the customer at all
