Falsely accused of debit card

On the 8th of june 2013 i received my new debit chip card from absa bank.
The following day i went to make a purchase with my family (2small kids and my wife) at checkers seaside village. I used my new debit card and even though the transaction went through, i was told that there is a problem with the card. After at least an hour, i was told by Natalie Ramara of checkers that the card is and the police was on their way.
We were then told by the police that they had taken a statement from Natalie Ramara and i had a choice. Either they would arrest me and take me to table view police station or i had to go and wait at the back of the store where the staff have lunch until absa division is present at the store.
After 3 hours and no one informing us what was happening, absa division got there and asked me a few questions to verify that i am indeed the account holder. All this was confirmed.
We received no apology from anyone at checkers for this unlawful detainment at their store that myself and my family had to endure.
We have taken legal advice in this regard and will pursue this matter in the courts for unlawful detainment and emotional damages.
