Poor response from MD of Hush Puppies Shoes

I have been buying Hush Puppies ever since I can remember and in fact only JUST passed on a pair of boots which I purchased in 1975 - YES 1975. Took all my savings at the time to buy them but they were well worth it - clearly the service and products WERE better in THOSE days...
I bought a pair of flat silver Hush Puppies from Stuttafords approx two years ago... (the above clearly tells you that I am light on shoes and that I look after them).. well these silver ones were stored carefully and really looked after BUT the silver has started peeling on one shoe. I contacted Hush Puppies and requested some assistance in trying to repair the said shoe. I have been politely told that it is not their problem. Tanya originally came back to me and said that she would chat to the MD to find out whether they could assist in some way. EVENTUALLY after me going back to her, she said that he was in the USA and that she would email him. Some time later she came back to me and told me that there is nothing that Hush Puppies can do to assist me and that I should go back to Stuttafords. This is definitely not a STUTTAFORDS problem as they do not manufacture Hush Puppies. VERY POOR
