Products advertised are not available

Checkers advertising promotion leaflets in the local Caxton publication advertised products available from the 26 May to 9 June 2013. The item I am referring to is Arm & Hammer SENSITIVE toothpaste at R29.99 per tube. I wasted a great of time and petrol going from Emmarentia to Braam Fischer and Cresta and this product is not available at any of these stores. These stores are within a 10 km radius of where I shop. No-one at these stores were able to give me any information as to when the product would be on the shelves and could not even confirm that they would in fact even get the product. Why is this advertised in the local papers when it appears not to be available in the area. I find this to be virtually false advertising and unless I get a favourable answer I will also lay a complaint with the Consumer Council. It is available at Dischem at a slightly higher price but since I don't shop there and I do presently shop at Checkers I wanted to get it from Checkers. This is the second such complaint I have had with Checkers in the last few months and if it should happen again I will stop supporting Checkers. Again this has been a costly exercise for me
