Absurd cancellation fees

To whom it may concern,
After many attempts to resolve the issue i had with having my credit card being used without my consent, which Edreams totally ignored. I had no choice but to request for my ticket to be cancelled.
I feel like i haven't had any customer service care that a client would appreciate and expects.
Anyhow i went ahead with the cancellation of my ticket and the cancellation fees have been quiet absurd.
I paid for my ticket a total of R15856-85 and after the cancellation fees the total amount returned was R10888-02. How is that possible?
