Replacements of elements

Shops, Products, Services

I have a thermofan dual oven. I called Defy 2 replace a element in the top oven. Ismail came 2 my home on the 2nd May & said it would b better 2 send the oven in 2 the wshop as it was very old ( - 25 YEARS) and the cost wil b - R2000-00 - waiver R300 collection /delivery charge. i agreed 4 them 2 collect the stove (after 3 calls 2 check if it would be the same day as promised by Rodger - the driver arrived around 5pm on the 2nd May. After numerous calls the following week i heard on the 9th that my oven only went into the w/shop on the Tuesday (7th) to strip & quote. i received the quote on Monday 13th, R1 136.00 more than the estimated R2000. I gave the go ahead 4 the repair on the 14th May, after checking my budget. Roger said that my oven will b ready 4 delivery on the 17th, when I phoned pm on the 17th 2 arrange 4 a time 4 me 2 be at home 4 the delivery, Roger tells me that my oven is STILL not complete, this is the 3rd weekend without a oven including Mothersday weekend! Rodger commented on the 13th that if I wasnt happy with the repair cost that i should go buy a new one! considering the size, the new oven would probebly be around R7000! bottom line repair cost is VERY HI
