My employee's bag was on a fri afternoon from the parcel check. After contacting Pick and pay, ( a no of visits etc) They offered to pay him R66 for meat that he had a receipt for. When I said what about the rest of the goods in his bag, After a run around I was told the owner says there is clear signage to say they are not responsible for any losses and they will not be doing anything about it.

The worst part is that the parcel check is NOT behind a counter, customers place their own bags and take a no themselves with a security guard watching over this. This is completely inadequate especially on a busy fri afternoon. When I pointed this out, the manager arrogantley aked if I was a security expert!
Also they wanted to make the security guard pay the initial offer of R66?? Surely this is not allowed under current labour legislation?
How can Pick and Pay insist you put your bag in a parcel check, but not be held accountable?
