On 30 Jan 2013 I bought a new Ventura lounge suite from Russells in Vredenburg. I paid R17 000 cash for the set. On 25 March I contacted Russells regarding a problem I was having with the 1 chair. I spoke to a Andre and he promised me he will arrange for a pick up from the warehouse after Easter weekend. Nothing happened. I phoned Andre again and told him that 1 of the other seats is also giving problems. He promissed me again that he will arrange that the whole set be replaced. I phoned him a few times and every time he made the same promise. When I called this morning there was no answer. I called Russells headoffice and was stunned to learn that the branch in Vredenburg closed down. What a wonderful service. I spoke to a Muntu at Russells who also promised me she will come back to me. I now want to cancel the deal and have my money back. I am so long going to register a complaint with the Consumer protector as I know I am going to struggle to get my money back. I will never buy anything from Russells again.
