Not Excepting legal money

Hi

I Just went to Checkers Willowbridge and to my surprise they don't want to except a R100 note I just got outside the ABSA ATM because there is pink marks on it. I ask them to scan the money to see if it is fake but they just refuse to do it. They say that the Bank won't except it but the Bank then gave it to me. They made me feel like I'm a criminal. Can I as a valued customer help if the ATM gave me so called "dirty" money.
