Dont fall for warranty offer!!!

On the 26/03/2011 I bought a 42" LG Plasma tv for R4999 and took out an additional 3 year warranty that cost R625-00 at the time. A week before I moved to Namibia my tv had a thin line through the screen (20/03/2013). After battling to get hold of one of the SA branches, it was told to me the warranty is valid in Namibia. Right..I then took the unit to Windhoek, which is 650km away, and they accept it and had that old story of theirs about you have to wait 2 weeks to 21 days..Im no technician or something, but even I knew they wont be able to repair it, and told them that the same day, but they stuck with their 21 day story... Fair enough...
A week ago I phoned them again and asked what is going on regarding my tv, cause I was in Windhoek for business and don't know when I will be able to go there again, which the lady I spoke with (Queen), told me that the place where the tv is, are just waiting for a part. Well today (03/05/2013) they called me again to notify me the tv cant be repaired, I can have a new unit, nice but heres the catch, I cant choose a tv of the value of R4999 like I paid, only 1 of R4300 cause its not guaranteed anymore!!! HiFi Corp, you are a bunch of Jackals!!
