I am a loyal customer to my Edgars account - I opened an account in January and bought a laptop at CNA in early April. I paid a large amount of money for that laptop a few days later. A week or two after my payment I bought an external hard drive over R1000 in which I wanted to use my Edgars voucher in which I save R300 on a R1000 purchase - as I gave my account card - the lady at CNA called to receive authorization - because their system was offline (Hartbeespoort CNA), the gentleman asked for my ID, cell number and name. After I gave this to him - he said that I cannot get authorization for my purchase as I can only get this after 6 months - the vouchers only last 3 months - after asking various questions the only answer I could receive from the incompetent Edgars/edcon staff was "due to the nature we cannot authorize your purchase" - why give me vouchers and tell me once I am at the till that I cannot use it?? I want to cancel my edgars account and demand that my R300 voucher be deducted from my balance!! This is unacceptable why even lure people only to loose them in 3 months?
