Just remove your rear light, unit is right there

In 2010 a tracker unit was fitted in my wife's car. A technician came to our house and spent a good 20minutes installing the unit it was quick I was so puzzled of why so quick if its meant not to be found quickly. In 2012 I had to change the bulb in the rear light, boom here is the unit just behind the rear right light. So I called tracker after discovering the so called secretly fitted unit, the call centre personnel told us they ll check if the unit is sending and working and they ll call back to let us know in 3days and that was in November 2012 till now no answer from tracker. I'm worried about the place where it is placed and they are consent about signals. Till now they keep telling us its working we shuld not be worried.
