I am trying to cancel my contract because of the points below...

o The security guard should not be at the client's premises beyond 4 to 5 minutes.
o It takes sometimes between 10 to 30 minutes for a security van to be at an incident.
o Once the burglary has happened IT IS ADT's DUTY TO GUARD THE PREMISES IN CASE THE ARE HIDING IN THE NEAR BY PARAMETERS. Unfortunately this did not happen on Friday when my house was broken into. I arrived to a house with broken/opened windows and smashed doors and no one protecting my belongings let alone safeguarding my life! This is unacceptable.

I sent a cancellation of contract request, and they issued me with a ticket, and have not followed up, my debit order is kicking in on the first of next month, I want to stop the service before the 1st of next month.
How can they force me to abide to a 30 days cancellation?

Update: They have come back to me on the 29/01/2014 and have refused to stop the next debit order for February because they say there is nothing they can do to stop it.

You have till the 30/01/2014 to comply.
