Avoid!! and they keep your money!

ALARM BROKERS was contracted thru Mike Whitlow to build our fence early Nov 2013, to be finished early Dec. We had to pay a 60% deposit: 27000 Rands. Early Dec. came and went & work hadn't even started yet. After many phone calls, they finally scheduled appointments but then didn't show up for most of them. Finally, the vibracrete was "installed" by merely placing them on the ground, leaving gaping holes everywhere thru which snakes & scorpions could easily crawl. After that, they disappeared again, leaving an unfinished fence and no idea of when they might show up again.
Then came excuse after excuse. The climax was on January 6, when work was finally supposed to begin again. Roy Beyers, the owner, told us that the people he sub-contracted to install the vibracrete would redo it but they wouldn't work on that day because of rain. But it was not raining! That was when it finally became clear that we were dealing with so we decided to discontinue the contract. Roy Beyers has since then decided not to refund any part of our deposit, claiming his attorney told him to keep our money for damages. What damage have WE caused him? We haven't seen one receipt for supplies, just.
