I signed up with ADT during 2012, and since then our house number has changed. I have informed ADT several times of the change, and sent them an email, which is what they asked for, but their records still reflect the wrong number.

The result is that any time I call the the call centre, I need to spend several minutes explaining to the operator where I live. This is not only totally annoying, but a waste of time which could be critical during an emergency.

I had a household emergency this morning, and when I called ADT the same circus started, except this time the first operator just couldn't make sense of it, and transferred me to another - who couldn't figure out who I was!

I gave up in disgust and handled the emergency by alternate means.

Later, ADT called me for some reason, so I asked to be transferred to the area manager for Johannesburg, whose name I was told is Mr Zwane. (The person who called me also asked me who I was!). Mr Zwane was apparently on a call, but I was promised that he would call me back immediately upon finishing the call.

That was 10:40, it is now 11:43. Some "immediate".
