I wanted a 12000BTU AUX Airconditioner installed at my home and was initially quoted R4850 by Niel so I agreed, then on Saturday he calls me to inform me that the cost of the unit is gone up by R350 from the supplier, so I was not prepared to pay extra so he said he will speak to the supplier, on Monday he sends me a msg to inform he can get the unit installed for R5000 and that the price will be going up again on Wednesday, so I said get it done. So on Wednesday fitment was agreed for 12 o clock, he pitches up at 5 o clock installs the inside and outside unit but was short of piping and his gas bottles so he wanted R2500 deposit, and I payed him. When he left I went to inspect the units I found that the sticker with the serial number and specifications had been removed from the inside unit, that was an immediate red flag so I called him to confirm that he did fit a 9000BTU and he insisted it is a 12000BTU .I didn't buy his story so I went directly to the supplier Capital Air with photos and the serial number from the outside unit and they confirmed it is a 9000BTU so I called him and requested my money back in full and then he can remove the unit and I don't wanna do business with him and he agreed, when he gets here today 21 January 2016 he wants to remove his unit first then will he give me my cash, I didn't agree because how can I trust that I will get my cash back when he already tried to rob me by installing a smaller unit, I am very disappointed and I know it's a small business so nothing will get done about it.
