MNET transmitter in PE not functional

Recreation & Entertainment

I have been subscribed to MNet for the last 17 years (MNet channel 7 and spare channel 8). During the past 12 months the MNET signal which is analog has become very bad due to signal interference. A local company checked my system out and came to the following conclusion: My aerial, decoder, TV etc is in perfect working order as SABC 1, 2, 3, ETV and even the MNET spare chanel (which is supposed to be weaker than channel 7) is crystal clear - fantastic reception. They concluded that the testing of digital signals is interfering with MNET (chanel 36) and they moved the input signal to channel 25. I now have a very bleak picture, but at least one can watch it. I phoned MultiChoise 5 times during the last week and also exchanged the decoder at their local office. It made no difference and the general response from MultiChoice was that if I am not happy with the poor signal for which I pay R300/month, then I should terminate subscription. Personally I feel this is a strategy to force me to subscribe to saletite TV . In summary, I experienced MultiChoice as a very arrogant company. Dr P van Breda, Sunridge Park, PE
