I have been playing lotto for years and hoping to win something. Never complained about playing my R40. I have never won more than R300 and still I hope to win. But I have noticed something that would make me upset if I do win. The payouts. On 17 April 2013, the jackpot was an estimate R52 million. WOW. Nobody won but then I noticed the selfish payouts to the runners up. A disgraceful R130k each for 4 winners. That totals R520k of payouts for first runner up. And total profit for that draw was over R18mil. But if you have a look at the Lotto Plus section. There was 3 first runner up winners and each got R314k. Which totals R942k. This jackpot is only R1mil with profit of R5mil.
I think something is wrong here. Playing Euro Lotto is a better bet.
